The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Government of Pakistan, invites applications from dynamic, qualified, and motivated individuals for the post of MIS Officer (BPS-16). A total of 81 vacancies are available on a two-year contract basis across the Collectorate of Customs Indus, including Balochistan. Educational Qualification Required
Candidates must possess at least one of the following from an HEC-recognized university:
- Second Class or Grade ‘C’ Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, OR
- Second Class or Grade ‘C’ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology

The 81 vacancies are distributed based on provincial/regional quotas as follows:
- Open Merit: 06
- Punjab: 41 (including 4 for women and 3 for minorities)
- Sindh (Urban): 06 (including 1 for women and 1 for minorities)
- Sindh (Rural): 10 (including 1 for women)
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP): 09 (including 1 for women)
- Balochistan: 05 (including 1 for women)

General Terms and Instructions
- Online Applications Only: Candidates must apply through the official National Jobs Portal at https://njp.gov.pk. No paper-based applications will be accepted.
- Contractual Nature of Appointment: The job will be purely on a contract basis for two years. Extensions may be considered based on performance and requirements.
- Quota Compliance: Recruitment will adhere strictly to the regional/provincial/district quota system outlined under Rule 15 of government rules.
- Document Verification: Original documents (educational, domicile, experience certificates) along with attested photocopies must be presented at the time of the interview.
- Screening Test: Where necessary, skill or screening tests will be held as per the Recruitment Policy of the Federal Government.
- Reserved Quotas:
- 10% for women
- 5% for minorities (non-Muslims)
- 2% for disabled persons (disability certificate required)
- Vacancy Adjustments: The Customs Department reserves the right to cancel or reduce the number of vacancies or not fill them, depending on circumstances at the time of final selection.
- Age Relaxation:
- General: 5 years for all candidates
- Additional Age Relaxation (as per government policy):
- 3 years for candidates from Scheduled Castes, Buddhist Community, recognized tribes of tribal areas, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Balochistan.
- 15 years or service duration (whichever is less) for retired personnel of the Armed Forces.
- 10 years for government servants with at least 2 years of continuous service (up to 55 years age).
- 10 years for disabled candidates (BPS-15 and below).
- 5 years for widows/sons/daughters of deceased government servants who died during service.
- Age Calculation: Age will be calculated on the closing date of the application submission i.e., May 31, 2025.
- Shortlisting: Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for test/interview. Eligibility will be verified at that stage.
- No TA/DA: No travel allowance or daily allowance will be provided for attending the test/interview.
